How to make a raw milk latte
How We Fell In Love With a Raw Milk Latte
Let’s start off by saying that we have never been big espresso drinkers. Growing up on a farm, it is much more commonplace to make a quick cup of coffee and run out the door to feed our cows or walk the rounds. Over the past couple of months, we started noticing customers tagging us on our Instagram page when they were making “Raw Milk Lattes”. Over time, we just got so curious to learn what a raw milk latte would taste like? One day, one of our favorite bloggers did an Instagram story on a step-by-step on how to make the perfect raw milk latte using our Whole Raw Milk and Heavy Raw Cream. This step-by-step explanation gave us all of the confidence to finally try it for ourselves. The ONLY issue was… we didn’t have an espresso machine. After a quick google search, we found a Bialetti espresso pot that would do the job. After purchasing our first espresso pot, we were ready to go to make our first latte at home!
Our first Raw Milk Latte Experience
After watching the “how to make espresso” video below, we felt pretty confident that we could make a fresh shot of espresso. We then took a note from our blogger and added cold, fresh Heavy Raw Cream, Whole Raw Milk, and a little powdered cinnamon to the top of our cup to make the signature “Raw Milk Latte” (see below for a full recipe).
HOW TO MAKE FRESH ESPRESSO:
Ok, can we fully explain our obsession with the Raw Milk Latte? Probably not. Actually, not at all. It is EVERYTHING we need in our life. It is rich, creamy, packed full of nutrients and healthy fats, and gives you the morning joy in your cup that you are looking for. Since our first experience, we have been making them each and every day. We are not the only ones… our customers are equally obsessed and in love with making their own Raw Milk Latte. Try it for yourself and comment below with how you loved it!
In 1933, Alfonso Bialetti revolutionized home coffee brewing in Italy with his iconic stovetop espresso maker; today, the easy-to-use pot is still found in nearly 90% of Italian homes.

Can I put raw heavy cream and raw whole milk into my morning coffee?
In a short answer, you can absolutely add raw dairy products into hot tea or coffee because it doesn’t warm it at a high enough heat or for a long enough time to conduct any damage to the raw dairy product elements. Pasteurization is a process that heats milk to a certain temperature for a certain amount of time to kill off bacteria. Most milk you find on the grocery store shelves has been highly pasteurized. Unlike Raw Whole Milk, which is alive with all of its beneficial bacteria and has never been heated or processed, pasteurized milk lacks the beneficial bacteria that are necessary for digestion. The most common form of pasteurization is High Temperature, Short Time (HTST) . It requires you to keep milk at 72oC (161oF) for just 15 seconds. (Source)
Interestingly, the average latte at your local coffee shop is only heated to 140°F. Although hot coffee is brewed 155°F and 175°F, it cools down quickly enough to NOT make any damage to the raw dairy. Adding the cold raw dairy helps to bring down the overall temperature of the beverage, too. (Source)
All and all, you definitely can add raw dairy products into your morning cup of joe and still receive all of the beneficial elements of delicious RAW FARM raw dairy products.
